IRAN OR I RUN

Most of the talking heads I hear these days don't believe we will go to war with Iran. Sure the sabres rattle, but with the chance of the oil flow being choked and 5 bucks a gallon at the pump, who wants that?

While I'm not a fan of high prices at the pump, I'm also not willing to risk the security of our nation for cheap petrol. I'm also not a fan of war, but unlike the "experts" I'm a realist. America is poised for some type of an military action in Iran. Very few believe that. We are already in Iraq and that will serve as a perfect base of operations to launch that action. We need to act now.

Is this WWIII? Yes, and like it or not our enimies are at war with us. We are about to find out who is with us and who is against us. Is it Armageddon? It's not for me to make that call.

America needs to wake up starting yesterday. It has been over 5 years since we have had a major, verified, terrorist attack on American soil. The state of vigilance that was a way of life after 9/11, seems to have abated. It feels safe. That's is exactly how the other side wants it. They will kill us in our sleep.

An intelligence source recently said, "Al Qaeda is not the big worry. The most dangerous group on earth today to the United States of America is Iranian-backed Hezbollah"...and they are here. Admit it, every time another Al Qaeda tape comes out it gets a passing mention on the news and we yawn. Meanwhile, we are being invaded as we speak and no does a thing about it.

The 9-11 commission found evidence that Iran actually trained Al Qaeda members. Call them what you want, Al Qaeda or Hezbollah. They are one in the same. The icon may be Osama Bin Laden this week and Zawahiri the next. Ahmadinejad is President of Iran today, it was Mohammad Khatami before him.

The problem is not going away. In fact it's growing and marching right toward us. We can debate, negotiate, appease, attack, withdraw, isolate, sanction or any other bright idea hatched in Washington but know this, they are brothers. They train together, fight for the same cause, and are intent on one purpose: the destruction of America, Israel, and the free way of life. For them, that is the only acceptable outcome.

No one want to say it. It's not easy and certainly not popular, but we a tough choice to make. We either unshackle our president and military and let them do their job, or the only freedom we will have left is the freedom to die.

Hot & Bothered?

Delaware's state climatologist has found himself in the middle of a political squall after taking skeptical stands on global warming and climate change -- in one case directly contradicting the state's own policy.

David R. Legates, a University of Delaware geography professor, co-wrote a "friend of the court" brief that opposed Delaware's position in a multi-state U.S. Supreme Court case.

In the appeal, state regulators argued that carbon dioxide from new cars should be regulated because of evidence the gas was contributing to rising global temperatures, climate shifts and changes in the environment. The Bush administration and industry critics opposed the demand, saying the dire warnings are unproven. Warning: tell the truth is not always the best career move.

Former US vice president Al Gore is seen as a possible winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to save the planet from global warming, the head of the Oslo Peace Research Institute has said. And not even a trophy for inventing the internet?
