NEW HAMPSHIRE BILL TARGETS CONFESSIONAL

The New Hampshire state legislature is currently considering a bill (House Bill 1127) sponsored by Representative Mary Stuart Gile that would mandate all members of the clergy to report instances of suspected child abuse to the authorities, allowing of no exceptions. The bill seeks to remove the priest-penitent privilege that has traditionally been granted by legislators.

Should this be allowed??????

Is that not a major breaking of the Office of the Keys? It should not be allowed. No I don't think that Child abuse is ok, but there is something about the importance of the Office of the Keys. NH would be violating the 1st admendment there.

While I admire the effort, this would break the seal of the Sacrament of Confession. I'm against this bill.
