A resolution has been drafted to change the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee’s Statement of Principles. Should the resolution pass at the next Republican State Committee meeting in February, the Republican Party may look very different than the one today.
The original principle “The sanctity of human life is fundamental. Life has inherent dignity.” will be replaced with “...limited government intrusion into private lives”. We all know what this means – abortion is now OK because it is a private issue.
The resolution to change the Principles Statement was drafted by the daughter of Senator Arlen Specter, and will be pushed by those Republican Committee members from the southeast.
