My Endorsement: Here it is..

I've often been asked about endorsing people running for office. I've also been asked at times to use the power of this blog to do campaign work.

I only support people I really believe in. I don't accept any pay from any candidates to do any work. So if you ever see me praising some person, you know it's because I believe in them. Case in point was my support for Sen. Rick Santorum.

Well, I've decided to support one Fred Thompson for president.
While I believe Thompson would be a fine president, I also have to admit his campaign leaves much to be desired. He needs to get his message out. He currently is not doing that. I'm not even sure if Fred Thompson has a shot at coming close to winning. However, I like his ideals.

I'm disgusted at how many "conservatives" have been lulled by the evangelical love song being sung by Mike Huckabee. His record does not reflect a true conservative. I encourage all of you to look into Thompson's stance on issues and I invite Mr. Thompson to start running for president like he wants to win.

Careful when judging peoples' motivations. Huckabee, who is my choice, has had his record EXTREMELY distorted by people like Rush and Quinn. In reality, his record DOES reflect a true conservative.

While my first choice is still a third-tier, nobody’s heard of his name candidate, Duncan Hunter, Thompson does come in second for me

Well I have to disagree with Unseen. Just based on facts of spending and policy I see too many troubling things for me to fully support Huckabee. I'm sure his a nice guy and I don't think he is the worst choice but we can do better.

As for Duncan Hunter, I like him. I spent some time with him in DC a few years ago. The problem is as stated no one knows him.

This race is far from decided. Coming out of Iowa, only 170,00 votes have been cast so far. So while the media goes nuts trying to predict the future, I'll sit back till November.
