While on the surface this may seem to be a good thing, the key is which test will be used. The PSSA (Pennsylvania System of School Assessment) has a troubled history of asking non-academic psychological questions. The scoring consistency is questionable and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, an unelected bureaucracy, has not always been helpful in addressing PSSA problems.
