I wonder how many people responding to a pollster answered in a "socially desirable way?" Yes, people lie to pollsters as shown by the startling study of actual church attendance being about HALF the reported attendance. (google church attendance Ashtubula). No problem here; I am unchurched, and I am atheist. And organized religion IS hypocritical, judgmental, and anti-gay.
