Clergy Bless City's New Planned Parenthood Clinic

From the story: To commemorate Tuesday's 35th anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling that affirmed a woman's right to an abortion, clergy blessed [Schenectady’s] new Planned Parenthood clinic in a ceremony dubbed "On Sacred Ground."

I wonder which denomination is delivering said blessings. If it is Roman Catholic, I'd expect a quick excommunication or some other form of reprimand.

It appears that the Rev. Larry Phillips of Schenectady's Emmanuel Baptist-Friedens Church did the blessing. I'm not sure which Baptist denomination this is, but they have a link to the American Baptist Churches, USA on their web page.

"Catholics for a Free Choice" are another example of people who have highjacked the name Catholic in an attempt to legitimize their cause.

Yeah, anyone can legally call themselves "Baptist". Even that nutjob Phelps calls his church Baptist.
