(Brent Bozell on Townhall.com) Nearly everyone with a television can make jokes about TV awards shows, especially the speech-making. How many times have people made the hoariest jokes about thanking the "little people," or mimicking Sally Field's Oscar speech: "You like me! You really like me!" But Kathy Griffin, the comedienne with the self-satirizing "My Life on the D-List" show on that D-list network Bravo, took the ritual to a new low when she won an Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program.
She mocked Jesus Christ.
"A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award," she declared. "I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus. So, all I can say is, 'Suck it, Jesus.' This award is my god now."

Tackless and crude. If it wern't for Jesus she would't be there accepting the award at all.
People lighten up! I'm a huge Christian - go to church the works - born again here.
It's so true - God really doesn't care about golden globes or Oscars or any of the acclaim that men give each other. It's tacky and dumb to be thanking god for a movie which probably broke the 2nd commandment 200 times (taking the Lords name in vain) I mean at least Kathy calls it like it is. We have drug dealing thugs thanking God for winning the football games (Micheal Vick) it's about time that someone stays on their side of the line.
Kathy is going to hell no doubt - but you know what at least she has the balls to be who she is and I would argue who God made her. So just deal with it and try to realize that Kathy was just trying to lighten the mood and give a reality check. Their is bigger stuff then some award shows in the world and God is concerned with those things. Somewhere a child is praying and God has everything to do with that - but some smack smoking drug addict getting an award doesn't peek His interest.
