Bishop Zubik Comes Home

The story in the press made me smile. Soon to be Pittsburgh Bishop David Zubik has decided not to live in the Pittsburgh Catholic Diocese's $1.5 million bishop's residence, instead opting to reside at St. Paul Seminary in East Carnegie.

For 57 years the Bishop of Pittsburgh has lived in the mansion that was donated by in 1949 by the late David I.B. McCahill.

Why is this such great news? Zubik will be able to oversee the future of the Church in this area with the formation of priests. He will be a great encourgment for young men pursuing vocations in the priesthood.
