I give up! The city is bankrupt, our taxes are so high people are losing their homes, we don't have a state budget, lawmakers want a pay raise, gas prices are just ridiculus, but slots machines and selling beer on Sunday are on the way, so the the big issue is to stop Fido from doing what he loves to do!
11-year-old Marc McCann of Green Tree, PA came up with an idea for a law. State Rep. Tom Stevenson submitted that idea as a bill to the House Transportation Committee in June.
That bill would require drivers to keep their dogs' heads inside the vehicle at all times. Stevenson also wants to require drivers to restrain the animals, either with some kind of modified seat belt or in a crate or carrier box.
Stevenson said the bill will protect "not only human lives, but pet lives. I think it's going to be a great idea because it's going to cut down on driver distractions."
I think we need to cut down on law maker distractions!
