I received an email from Fr, Frank Pavone from Priests for Life. He does great work on the part of the unborn and I had that pleasure of working with him and Sen. Rick Santorum a few years ago.

A short time ago the heralds of the culture of death touted the results of a poll conducted by Knowledge Networks, Yahoo and the Associated Press.
Did you see it? Or hear about it? Whether you did or didn’t doesn’t really matter right now because I’m to tell you all about it.
But before I do, there are two things I have to stress right now:
1. For all its faults, one thing the survey made very clear is the fact that we still have a lot of work to do if we are to WIN our fight over abortion.
2. Fortunately, Priests for Life has just come up with the very weapon that could ultimately bring about that much-anticipated victory.

Now here’s the Yahoo/AP survey ... and the weapon Priests for Life has developed.
According to the Yahoo/AP survey ...
... 66 percent of Americans want Roe v. Wade to remain in place, while only 32 percent want it overturned.
You read that correctly. 66 percent ... or two out of every three Americans. And the reason behind that result is painfully simple. Unlike you and me ...
... most of our fellow Americans do not know that Roe v Wade allows abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy ... and for any reason.
That, my friend, is abortion-on-demand. Period.
On the plus side, whenever Roe v Wade is put in those stark terms, the vast majority of our fellow Americans reject its extremist abortion policy.
Still, the fact remains that a significant number of Americans are under the false impression that all Roe v Wade did was make abortion legal in the first trimester of pregnancy.
In fact, that’s precisely what a 2006 study conducted by “the polling company” found. Their data shows that although 65% of participants said they were familiar with Roe v Wade, only 29% were able to select the most accurate description of the ruling from a list of four options. Their conclusion:
“Many Americans do not understand the full implication of the Roe vs. Wade decision – a fact many pro-choice groups choose to interpret as support for their cause. ... Simple information may be the first step in gaining the public’s support to change America’s abortion policy.”
I highlighted that last sentence because it dovetails perfectly into the new weapon I told you about at the beginning of this email.
You’ve heard me say that America will not end abortion until America sees abortion.
Well, Priests for Life has produced a series of videos that show America exactly what it is that Roe v Wade allows abortionists to do to defenseless unborn babies.

Each video shows viewers exactly what happens to the child in the womb during three abortion procedures: (1) Suction Curettage; (2) Dismemberment D&E; (3) Prostaglandin. The videos are scientifically accurate. They are eye-opening. They are dramatic. And they are convincing.
And to those who support abortion, we ask, “When you say ‘abortion,’ is this what you mean?”
In just its first few weeks of release, over a quarter of a million people have watched one of the three videos in the series. And the response has been even better than I was expecting.
One man wrote:
“My God, before this video I was completely lost.... I was an ex-Catholic turned agnostic but this has changed me.”
Those who watch these videos are shocked. They are outraged. But most important of all ...
... they are energized and willing to help us WIN the fight to end abortion because they now understand how barbaric and unjust abortion truly is!

But it’s even more important that you help Priests for Life get millions of your fellow Americans to
watch these videos. That’s because, as the Yahoo/AP poll shows, when people hear the word “abortion” they think “right to choose.” They’ve been co-opted into the culture of death mentality. They’ve forgotten that “abortion” means the brutal tearing apart of an innocent unborn child in the womb.
Our task is to make sure that as many Americans as possible SEE what happens in every single abortion so that they will come to understand the full horror of abortion and join us in our fight to WIN the war to end abortion.
And what makes our work even more urgent is the looming November elections. Never was there a more critical time for our unborn brothers and sisters – or for our nation – than right now.
Priests for Life is going all out to make sure voters know exactly what’s at stake this November, ... especially regarding the Supreme Court where at least one vacancy, and possibly as many as three, will likely open up over the next four years.
Those elected to the White House and the US Senate will be responsible to fill those vacancies.
And as you will see for yourself when you watch “Is This What You Mean?”...
... this is the best way to bring voters over to our pro-life position!
At the same time, our video puts candidates on notice that they can no longer hide behind their morally bankrupt “personally opposed but” position on abortion. We will show these videos and ask these politicians, “Is this what you mean by abortion?”

But it is extremely expensive to carry on all that work.
