The End of One Thing Is the Begining of Another

I'm sad to report that I am no longer with WORD FM. After 6 years and 3 talk-shows we have parted ways on the best of terms.

Change is the only thing guaranteed in the media. I have some great friends at the station and it's been a pleasure to meet and share things with all of you.

I do know that God has a plan. I'm just not sure what that is yet....

I will still do my best to keep things going here, although only time will tell. I do ask for your prayers and if you know of any opportunities please email me at sands555@hotmail.com

I'm so sorry the hear that you're leaving WORD.FM, you've been so good for the station, are you still going to to have the powerblog?

God bless you in your job search, I'll keep you in my prayers.

Yes. I will still have this blog. How things develop is anyone's guess right now.

My departure was not my choice. It's the nature of radio these days. There are some internal changes and sadly I will not be part of them. However, I will that to my former employer to announce.

Thank you for your kind words.

The Church is losing a capable Catholic apologist at WORD-FM. I hope you find a similar role elsewhere. God bless. :)

Shaun,

Wow! What a shock!

May God continue to strengthen and guide you through this present difficulty.

Although very infrequent, I'm grateful for the brief exchanges we've shared over the past few years.

Sorry to hear about your sudden change. I've been through one of these before, they aren't easy. Took me over a year to get back on my feet again, all the while raising a family. Had to make some pretty hard adjustments, including moving out of my apartment and in with family, a very humbling situation to go through. Yet through it all, God stays faithful. I hope things go easy for you, being out of work brings this sickening feeling of meaningless that can just tear you up inside.

What a loss for WORD.FM, I hope that they knew what they were doing when they let you go, no matter what their reasons were.

I kmow you said best of terms, and I hope there are no alterior motives, but I'm a bit suspicious when an evangelical based station "parts ways" with such an excellent producer. I sincerly hope that this has nothing to do with the fact that your convictions are convincing to too many people.

I don't think that is the case. It's tough times in radio. The guy taking over for me will have 3 jobs.

We did hour long interview with Bishop Zubik before I left and that was a great blessing. I think it's more of a money situation.

If it's God's will I'll return somewhere else with Catholic programming. I'm already working on that. Please keep me in your prayers.
