That Pay Raise Is Now LARGER!

The salary hike for state lawmakers elected in November 2006 will be even bigger than the previously reported 16 percent to 34 percent increase because legislators included an automatic cost-of-living adjustment that will be added on.

Does this make anyone else want to riot and vomit simultaneously? That could prove messy if large crowds were involved.

Seriously though... Why on earth would officials chosen by the people take advantage of such a law loophole. Although I fight to not become bitter about not having the ability to vote a pay increase for myself... I still find it appalling that they would rather abandon the principal for which the pay-raise laws were made, and instead practically boast about their ability to rise above the law and sneak away with their met wishes, regardless of it's impact on their public display of character. You would think that even IF they WERE complete slime, they would at LEAST hold the political awareness to understand that this action drags their name through their own filth.

Please contact them... Please let them know just how low you feel they have stooped for this.

And to the officials willing to part with their difference in an act of selfless charity... please.... How different would the tale of Robin Hood be if his reputation was stealing from the poor, and... well... giving to OTHER poor. Let me have my tax money back... and let me decide the cause best deserving of MY hard-earned.
