WOMAN WANTS BABIES BACK AFTER GIVING THEM UP FOR ADOPTION
She kidnapped them over Christmas. Telling note from the story, she was “a single engineer who gave birth to the twins after undergoing in-vitro fertilization.”
The idea that a person who puts their baby up for adoption can possibly get it back after said adoption has taken place is sickening to me. I was adopted myself and I will most likely be adopting in a few years. This is my biggest fear.
Some people who live out in Beaver County had this happen to them. They had a baby in their home for several months and the mother decided she wanted it back. So, the court took the child back. She eventually gave the baby back up. Then decided she wanted it back again. Fortunately, there is a "1 time" limit on this type of activity. It should be a zero time limit.
This woman gave them up for adoption. That should be the end of the story. The best she should be able to do is sign a "consent to contact" form so she can have a relationship with them should they choose to contact her when they are grown (as I have done with my bio-family).
