Well some are cheering, as some sink their head into their hands wondering what happened. I'd like to answer that question: "What happened?"
What happened was Mr. & Mrs. America finally grew tired of sitting down to watch TV with their kids and seeing the "Hey it's great to be gay you should try it" sitcom. They grew tired of turning on the radio and hearing someone talk about "Bling Bling and Pimpin'". They grew tired of hearing actors, who make millions pretending to be someone else, tell them how to think, act, dress and vote. They grew tired of of hearing politicans tell them what they have to accept. They grew tired of being called "homophobic and intolerant" if something goes against their deeply held values. They grew tired of having their parental rights stolen away time after time as children are taught in school everything from homosexuality to ebonics. And yes, they grew tired of seeing the Democratic party highjacked by a bunch of twisted wackos who could care less about the common good and seek only to promote a forced, narrow minded, sick and morally depraved agenda. One can only continue destructive behavior so long before it destroys you.
After the pundits weighed the economy, the war, healthcare, gay marriage and other issues the one they forgot was MORALITY. In nine of 11 states that passed amendments to ban gay marriage, Bush also won, often by landslides. Those states alone gave him 73 electoral votes, including Ohio's decisive 20. In several other states that went to Bush, from Colorado to Tennessee, voters cited religious faith and moral values as their reasons for supporting the president. The huge surge in young voters that had been anticipated from get-out-the-vote campaigns featuring P. Diddy, Bruce Springsteen and other pop stars did not materialize. Maybe they should stick to what they know. It would save me from tossing out a bunch of music and movies on my boycott list! Hollywood and the media elite have exposed themselves and have lost so much more then an election. They have lost credibility and trust with so many people who are finally begining to wake up.
Well now we move forward. It is my prayer that we will use the God given power he has intrusted to us to improve this country and the world for our children. It is going to be tough battle, but we are assured of the winner. I invite you all to join the fight for a better America. May we create a country that God truly will bless.
