OBAMA THE LATEST DEMOCRAT TO SAY THEY MUST COURT EVANGELICALS
As the freshman Senator said “we cannot abandon the field of religious discourse. ... In other words, if we don't reach out to evangelical Christians and other religious Americans and tell them what we stand for, Jerry Falwells and Pat Robertsons will continue to hold sway.” He also tossed out this racial profile: “Nothing is more transparent than inauthentic expressions of faith: the politician who shows up at a black church around election time and claps — off rhythm — to the gospel choir.” (AP) Obama recently showed his very liberal side, defending Girls Inc. (WOWT) The Girls Inc. website boldly states “Restrictions of reproductive choice are especially burdensome for young women and poor women. Girls Incorporated supports a woman’s freedom of choice, a constitutional right established by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1973 in Roe vs. Wade.” (Girls Inc.) To the far left Daily Kos, Obama said Republicans “have beaten us twice by energizing their base with red meat rhetoric and single-minded devotion and discipline to their agenda. In order to beat them, it is necessary for Democrats to get some backbone, give as good as they get, brook no compromise, drive out Democrats who are interested in "appeasing" the right wing, and enforce a more clearly progressive agenda.” (Obama)

Embracing their base is not the way Democrats are going to win.
Courting Evangelicals is not the way Democrats are going to win.
Letting Republicans hang themselves by their own appeasement to the left... now THAT is how the Democrats can win!
As long as Democrats continue to have no respect for us as Christians, continue to advocate the murder of the unborn in the name of convenience, and try to pit groups of Americans against one another, courting Evangelicals just isn't going to work.
The best way to unite people is against a common enemy. Trying to court the people who your base sees as the enemy and who you've painted as the enemy for the last 40 years... I'm sorry. that just isn't a winning strategy.
Although as a Republican, I truly hope they try it.

Sensible Americans need to resists this movement ... just long enough for Canada to show the outworkings of socialism. They are fast becoming unable to afford their healthcare. There's too much burden on it ... if stuff is gonna be given away, it's only a matter of time before there's more takers than givers. his is happenign at a fast pace up north.
