It appears that the governors have learned a thing or two from troubled financial institutions and automakers – approach the fed with a cup in hand.
The nation’s governors are asking President-Elect Obama for a $136 billion infrastructure program. This gem of a quote is from our Governor Ed Rendell: “It is not a handout or bailout, it’s the best remedy for getting America back to work”.

Is this not the same governor who flexed $400 million in federal highway funds from highway and infrastructure projects and routed these funds to prop up failing mass transit systems in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh?????
Roughing the taxpayer! Governor, it’s time to punt...
