Gallup notes “With the midterm elections now less than two months away, Gallup's initial read on the voting preferences of likely voters for the U.S. House of Representatives shows a dead heat between Republicans and Democrats. Democrats have held an advantage among registered voters throughout the year and continue to do so, but the likely voter estimates suggest that the Republicans have the potential to offset that advantage with greater turnout.”
