REID UPSET OVER POLYGAMY, NOT SO MUCH WITH GAY MARRIAGE

The Democratic leader in the senate said of polygamy “For too long, this outrageous activity has been disguised in the mask of religious freedom.” (Houston Chronicle) But when Bush tried to pass the Marriage Amendment, Reid said “This is another one of the president's efforts to frighten, to distort, to distract and confuse America. It is this administration's way of avoiding the tough, real problems that American citizens are confronted with each and every day.” (CNN)
