A + B = C
A) The Holy Spirit is the "Spirit of Grace" (see Hebrews 10:29).
B) The Holy Spirit is the "Spirit of Truth" (see John 16:13).
C) The Holy Spirit is the "Spirit of Grace & Truth." Which tends to make sense given that the "Holy Spirit" is God, and Jesus is God, and Jesus is "full of grace and truth" (see John 1:14), and "grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ" (see John 1:17).
Do you see it? Grace AND truth. The grace of God makes it possible for us to receive the truth of God. Grace without truth is half the gospel, which is NO GOSPEL. The preacher who teaches grace without truth proclaims a FALSE GOSPEL. "There are some who...want to distort the gospel of Christ" (Galatians 1:7).
Again, the "Satanic spirit of grace" that the devil and his servants promote (see 2 Corinthians 11:13-14) is a "grace" without truth. The "grace" of Satan is a literal "insult to the Spirit of Grace" (see Hebrews 10:29).
"But even if we, or an angel from heaven,
should preach to you a gospel contrary to what
we have preached to you, he is to be accursed."
Galatians 1:8
We best understand the difference.
