CONGRESSMAN JEFFERSON QUIETLY INDICTED

Representative William Jefferson, Democrat of Louisiana, was indicted yesterday on federal charges of racketeering, money-laundering, and soliciting more than $400,000 in bribes in connection with years of trying to broker business deals in Africa. Story also notes “He is the first sitting member of Congress to face charges under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which prohibits corporate bribery overseas.”

After all he's done, plus them finding $90k in his freezer, a reporter actually asked the federal prosecutor "Is this indictment politically motivated?"

No, the main stream media is QUITE fair and balanced, REALLY!!!

Can you imagine if this were a Republican?

Quietly? Been all over the news. I check about 20 sites plus Google. Currently 918 articles available.

Scooter Libby got sentenced to 30 months today. That's been all over the news, too.

Neither one strikes me as quiet.
