A Manger Debate

The double standard I see in matters of faith astounds me. Catholics are constantly brow beaten for having statues. We don't worship the statues, we don't pray to the statues, they are simply there as a reminder of those who have inspired our faith. Oh but that's a forbidden "graven image" they decry. Yet right after Thanksgiving every year, these same objectioners pull out the NATIVITY SCENE! With cute little STATUES to REMIND them of their faith. Is it just me or is do Protestants continue to unwittingly confirm the Catholic faith?

Amen! I wonder if they know that little tradition was started by St. Francis... a Catholic.
