Twenty-one Pennsylvania lawmakers who voted against the pay raise package for elected state officials last month have nevertheless decided to start collecting the raises. Among them are eight local legislators.
On the other side of the coin, 10 lawmakers who voted for the raises, including two from this area, have decided not to accept the extra money.
In this area, the following legislators voted against the pay raise but decided to take the money: state Sen. Sean Logan, D-Monroeville; and state Reps. Marc Gergely, D-White Oak, Jeff Habay, R-Shaler, Jess Stairs, R-Mount Pleasant, Joseph Petrarca, D-Vandergrift, Chris Sainato, D-New Castle, James Shaner, D-Lemont Furnace, and Sean Ramaley, D-Economy.
