THE BLAME GAME

I don't want to sound cold here, but the last time I checked a person who breaks the the law commits a crime. A person who commits a crime is called a criminal. If you come into this country illegally (the means against the law) you have broken the law, committed a crime and are now a criminal no matter how good your intentions may be.

Can we please stop calling criminals "immigrants" just because it sounds better. I know you might not have thousands who come out to support a "pro-criminal" rally but that's what is happening.

I'm not against honest, hard-working people coming to this country to improve their life, earn their keep and contribute to society. In fact, I think we need more people like that. Far too many in this country are lazy and only earn more money though an increase in the minimum wage or some government entitlement program.

I am against any person who steals their citizenship and bypasses the laws of the country they seek to live in. We do need reform in this area. We need to get rid of this sub-economic class of people. We should be ashamed that we have Americans who take advantage of people. The sad fact is this has become a political issue and not a humanitarian one.

With dramatic demonstrations across the country, Democrats unwilling to yield to Republicans on genuine border security (i.e. a wall) and Republicans reluctant to grant citizenship, the question is, how will voters respond?
