While we have not bottomed out yet, I think that the denominational leaders in Louisville are finally coming around to the fact that you can’t continue with the liberal activism and not pay a price as far as churches leaving. Clifton Kirkpatrick, who as stated clerk of the Presbyterian Church (USA) has been at the center of many controversies, has suddenly decided to step down and not seek a 4th term. The leader of the PC (USA)’s controversial Washington Office, which lobbies government for every liberal cause, is also stepping down. These are positive signs.
