Kraft UPDATE

I few week ago I posted the story about food maker Kraft Foods and their support of the upcoming Gay Games in Chicago. I know many of you stpooed buying Kraft products and some of you have contacted Kraft. I wanted to share with you what Marc Firestone, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Kraft Foods Inc., said in refusing to cancel their sponsorship.

"Diversity is more than a word many people like to say. At Kraft we truly respect all kinds of differences. And diversity is not a selective concept. By definition, it's nothing if not inclusive. We respect diversity of ethnicity, gender, experience, background, personal style and yes, sexual orientation and gender identity. Recognizing, respecting and valuing these differences helps us be a more successful business and a workplace where all employees can realize their full potential."

The Gay Games can't get a much stronger commitment than that given by Kraft. Kraft also owns Maxwell House, Post, Oscar Mayer and Nabisco brands, which account for almost 75% of the company's revenues.

Join with the AFA and let Kraft hear your voice.

GREAT! They make so many things it is hard to avoid, but we all need to send a strong message. "You're not selling my kid Mac & Chesse and then supporting a gay pride event" If you saw pictures from this event you would be appauled. I can not post them here. I hope many other will do the same as you have done.

Kraft Foods is more interested in promoting homosexuality than selling cheese.

Hey jackasses, that thing you are sitting at to type your homophobic gibberish is equipped with a nifty little thing called a a spell checker. You might try using it before posting inane arguments with misspelled words like "their" and "appalled." If you truly want to blow your miniscule minds, invest some time and energy into a local GED program. You have a right to express yourself on the wonder that is the Internet, but please at least attempt to achieve a level of writing beyond that of a 1st grader. It's people like you that disgrace the American presence on the net.
