Note to Dems: "Tell Dean to Shut Up!"

If the theory is when you are on the bottom there is nowhere to go but up, then the democrats are right on course for the bottom. Howard dean is proving himslef the perfect person to speed up the impolsion that is taking place.

His latest "oops" following the scream heard around the world was him saying to a reporter the GOP is pretty much a "white Christian party". The latest comments came in San Francisco at a forum with minority leaders and journalists.

But did he really mean that? Well to make it clear he continued on despite the foot in his mouth. He characterized the Republican Party as "a pretty monolithic party. They all behave the same. They all look the same. It's pretty much a white Christian party."

"The Republicans are not very friendly to different kinds of people" Dean said. "We're more welcoming to different folks, because that's the type of people we are. But that's not enough. We do have to deliver on things: jobs and housing and business opportunities."

Dean is under fire from his own party because he is alienating potential cross-over Republican voters. Alienation leads to your own extinction!

Well maybe this is the new mantra for the party. If it is no one got the memo. Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware said Dean "doesn't speak for me ... and I don't think he speaks for the majority of Democrats." Good thing he is not your party leader. Oh wait, he is.

This was follwed up by comments of the "Hip-Hop Summit Action Network's Russell Simmons: "[I] had a great meeting with [RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman] today. I was on my way over to see Howard Dean. I had so much fun with Ken that I never even got to meet Howard today. But that was in Washington today. I sat with him and I felt there needs to be an effort on one of the parties to reach out and speak to the young people and to all the people who are struggling, especially the young people as you know, are more likely to be compassionate and concerned with people who are struggling."

Dean is also under fire from party leaders for not raising enough cash. The DNC has raised less than half of the $42.6 million raised by the RNC in the first four months of the year. Who wants to bet on a blind 3 legged horse?
