Pryor Gets Thumbs Up
Washington, D.C. - William Pryor, the nominee who has come under intense heat for his strong religious convictions, or as Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) described them during Judge Pryor's hearing, his "deeply held personal beliefs," was approved by a 53 to 45 vote to join the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.This vote marks the end of a two year long filibuster to block qualified judicial nominees.
