HOUSE PASSES TAX CUTS

Now on to the senate. The story notes “Republicans credit the tax cuts, enacted in 2003, with boosting economic growth and creating many jobs.” (ABC News)

Stories are now highlighting the boom. But the media still struggles with the facts, as one article on the great jobs market complains: “The forces behind this transformation aren't altogether obvious -- indeed, at a time of slowing GDP growth, massive deficits, war, and other dark clouds, it can be difficult to swallow the idea that we're in a golden age for job-hopping.” (Business 2.0) And the Dow is very close to an all time high.
