The Bush administration has said it would consider a "coalition of the willing" to take on Iran's nuclear defiance, if the U.N. Security Council did not act. That process has now started.
The administration is leading the effort to crack down on Iran financially – WITHOUT the U.N Security Council's involvement – by forcing European banks to stop dealing with the Iranian regime. Because Russia and China continue to block any meaningful action in the Security Council, the U.N. may be done for when it comes to confronting threats and terrorism.
Tuesday night, Iran conducted a test of an intermediate-range missile just hours before President Bush met with Israeli leader Ehud Olmert. The missile’s range is approximately 900 miles – great enough to reach Israel and American interests in the region.
