Sheridan/Pittsburgh Signs Consent Decree, Pays $40,000

Sheridan Broadcasting's McL/McM Inc. unit will shell out $40,000 to the U.S. Treasury after agreeing to a Consent Decree with the FCC. The Consent Decree resolves issues arrising from the Media Bureau's review of the company's renewal applications for AC WAMO-AM, Urban WAMO-FM (106 Jamz), Gospel WPGR-AM and Variety Hits WGSM-FM (Sam 107.1) covering the Pittsburgh area. The decree also includes a proposed compliance plan as there was some question on whether Sheridan and McL/McM violated the Commission's rules on the maintenance of a station's public file.
