If laughter is the best medicine, then cartoonist Johnny Hart did more for American health than most. The award-winning creator of the comic "B.C." and "The Wizard of Id" passed away this weekend, saddening fans of the cartoon legacy built on pro-family values and Hart's own Christian faith.
For more than 100 million readers, his unique brand of humor will be missed, and in particular, his ability to make serious points with the lightest touch. As Mark Twain said, "The secret source of humor itself is not joy but sorrow."
