Radio Waves: Oh Zone

There is a new station in town (sort of). If you paint a turd gold it's still a turd. The Zone has been on the air for two days. I gave it a listen and I'll give a year before it's gone.

I know it's new and it takes time for things to develop but this is really bad radio. From the guy who did his first show long distance because his wife is pregnant and he could not move to Pittsburgh yet, to the extended (and unplanned) McIntyre show because Scott Paulson didn't show up for his show. Yes, the big headliner a no-show. John McIntyre reported that "legal reasons" prevented the next host, "Mystery DJ," from going on the air. No word on whether legal reasons were the cause. McIntyre stayed on the air 90 minutes longer. The station then covered the remainder of Paulsen's shift with syndicated sports.

McIntyres' female producer is bound to be a wealthy women because she should be able to sue for sexual harassment after only one hour on the air. In the short time I listened, she was asked to give her bra size, perform phone sex and provide personal and intimate details.

Dennis Miller (despite the bad audio) did an intelligent show but how do you go from blue humor to world politics. It's hurts to listen to to!

This is not some tiny mom and pop radio station. This is CBS. Blow the whistle folks. We have a train wreck. Like I said before, they have no clue what they are doing over there. Another bright idea, DOA.
