I also feel that it should be illegal for Port Authority Transit to go on strike. By having more cars on the road it inhibits emergency vehicles from getting to and from their destinations, it causes people to miss time from work, thus getting docked and it creates problems for motorists getting back and forth to go anywhere.
I know I'll take heat for this but most unions serve no real purpose other then misguided political action committes. There power is fading as companies compete on the world stage.
Once they served a nobel cause. That day has passed. They now more often stand in the way of progress. They don't promote excelence, instead they reward mediocrity.
The strikes are not the problem. The unions and their leaders are the problem.
