A Target pharmacist has lost her job for refusing to dispense or refer for the abortifacient morning-after pill.
“For me, life begins with two cells,” said Heather Williams, explaining that the so-called emergency contraception pill, Plan B by Barr Pharmaceuticals, often prevents implantation of a newly formed human embryo within the uterine wall – which, of course, constitutes abortion. The same mechanism is responsible for the sometimes abortifacient effect of the regular birth-control-pill.
According to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report, Williams has refused to dispense or refer for the abortifacient for the past five years while working as a part-time Target pharmacy employee. She argues that to refer patients to a dispensary where they can find them is equally immoral. “I just can’t be a link in the chain at all,” Williams said.
Williams, who is a mother of three, lost her job over the issue as of January 1. She filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission of Missouri. She says, however, that the blame for her dismissal belongs to Planned Parenthood, not the Target store. Planned Parenthood has spearheaded efforts across the US to mandate that pharmacists co-operate in chemical abortion.

Recent studies of how the emergency contraception works prove that it is not an abortificient. It stops ovulation. It doesn't cause the lining to slough off or become unable to support a fertilized egg.
So the pharmacist lost her job for no reason. It's a shame.
What do you mean "recent studies"? That's pretty vauge. This has been tested long before it's on the market. Why do think it's called Plan B? Because Plan A (aka responsibilty) was not considered.
Look at it this way. If a person does not take this pill, they assume the will be pregnant. They take this to end that possibility. That's looks an awful lot like terminating a pregnancy to me.

If no fertilization occurs, how can a pregnancy be terminated? If someone decides to not have sex, does that mean they terminated a pregnancy?
Your logic is suspect.
Would you favor banning all forms of contraception, including barrier methods, as a part of banning abortion? Is that the end goal?
Not everybody who uses Plan B does so because of a lack of personal responsibility. Condoms can fail due to defects - though that is actually quite rare. People can also make mistakes using condoms, and they can fall off, leading to a risk of pregnancy.
The side effects of Plan B are apparently quite unpleasant, causing severe cramping and discomfort for up to a couple days. While I have no personal experience, what I've read indicates very few people come back a second time for it.
Obviously, of course, if you think it causes abortion, and you're against abortion, it really doesn't matter why people take it, it's still wrong. My point is merely that it's inaccurate to suggest that Plan B is something that people will often take every now and then cause they did something stupid.
I still say stopping ovulation, or implantation is messing with God's plan. You are preventing what is supposed to happen naturally. I will look into this deeper and post what I find.
