Iraq Attack
Reuters reports the U.S. military has launched a major air assault in Iraq, the largest assault of its kind since the invasion three years ago. The move comes amid predictions that the country is on the brink of Sunni-Shiite civil war. According to the BBC, Thursday's inaugural session of parliament ended after 30 minutes, and members were not even able to elect a speaker.
