Islam 101

As the battle rages on in Iraq and we enter into verbal a sparing match with Iran, it would do all Americans good to review a few things.

The Bush Administration has from the beginning insisted that we are fighting a Global War On Terrorism. They have denied this is a war between Judeo-Christianity and Islam, or a war between the western civilization and the civilization of the Arabs and Islam.

Well, the two may not be so separate. How can we wage war against a idea? The US can take on any nation in the world. We are not so good at taking on individuals. Terrorism is not a nation, is a method to achieve a goal.

Islam is an ideology disguised as a religion. The agenda of Islam is nothing less than total global domination. That domination would occur under a theo-autocratic, dictatorial Islamic Caliphate (Khalifa), a global Islamic State. That's the goal folks.

We can use all of our advanced technology to defeat an enemy nation in record time. However, fighting ideas will take several decades if not longer.

All of the terrorists we are fighting are Muslim. While it might not be very politically correct, we must consider that fact and examine Islam.

The entire terror notion comes directly from the Qur'an. The methods Islam is required to use to achieve the goal are TERRORISM, DISSIMULATIVE RHETORIC, and OPEN WARFARE. These terrorists have figured out how to attack, gain public support and use our own laws, morals and system of governance against us.

While Americans debate treatment of prisoners, wire taps, impeachment, war under false pretense, number of troops and the length of the war, the enemy watches, plans and learns.

Terrorists donÂ’t think like us. They see the world very differently. I'm not going to blow myself up for a promise of 72 virgins or any other reason. They will. That leaves us asking some very tough questions.

Why, for example, would people who believe they have the one, true religion, blow up mosques and other holy places? Why would they attack weddings and funerals? Why is beheading so popular among terrorists? Why would a few cartoons set off rioting and killing? And what does all this mean to us in terms of the threat it represents? Does all this make them more dedicated or just plain stupid? That depends on who you ask. We can not apply rationality, logic, and common sense where they do notexistt.

True believers in Islam hold all other religions in contempt. A person is either a Muslim or an infidel and, by definition, a threat to Islam until you convert or are killed. Forget this "religion of peace" garbage.

We are attempting to change this through a mixture of war and good will efforts. We strike aspreciselyy as possible and then build a new school in the aftermath. But what we see as an improvement in the lives of millions of Muslims, they see as a threat. We introduce womenÂ’s rights, educate people, improve health and living conditions. These are all things that Westerners embrace, not Arabs. That's why the Middle East is stuck in the past. They are threatened by the modern world. Our world.

We can not offer them the profits of peace, for they are not interested. In order for America to truly win the war on terror, Muslims must be willing to let go of their culture, history, faith and everything they have ever known. They will be required to do so under the banner of defeat and surrender. No wonder the prosepect of peace does not seem overly appealing.
