Ok, I want to get your thoughts on this one. Some Christian ministries attempt to spread the word of God on street corners. JC's Girls Girls Girls prefers strip clubs.
According to their mission statement, JC's Girls "seek to share God's message of hope and forgiveness by reaching out in a nonjudgmental way to those who are in the sex industry." Lori Albee, one of JC's Girls, is a married mother of two who goes to strip clubs with the rest of the group. They pay for lap dances and use the time alone with the dancers to spread God's message of love and invite them into their church.
Recently the girls bought a both at an "adult" expo in Vegas. They gave out over 200 bibles that we wrapped inside t-shirts that said holyhottie. The people they gave these Bibles to were all associated in some way with the porn industry.
According to Heather, "We did not have one bad experience NOT one! We even decided to walk over to the gay section and give out t-shirts and bibles to the guys. They were so exited and we ended up needing to take another trip because they wanted more bibles. Then they found our booth and told us that they wanted more because not everyone recieved a bible in there section. We where brought over to booths by male pornstars who wanted us to give bibles to the female stars."
Obviously the presentation is a bit non-traditional..... but so is the audience. Any thoughts?

Somebody must reach out to these people. I couldn't do it. I would get... um... distracted. It would definitely be a near occasion of sin for me. I think people who were in the "industry" would probably be the perfect missionaries. They know what "really goes on" and talk to them from experience.
Of course, how they go about doing it is open to debate. I don't know enough about them to critique their method. And somebody's gotta do it. If not them, who?
I agree with Sean's thoughts ... I personally couldn't do it (unless directed of God - then I would be given that whith which I needed to carry out the mission).
The apostle Paul said in 2 Cor 9:
19 For being free from all, I have made myself bondman to all, that I might gain the most [possible].
20 And I became to the Jews as a Jew, in order that I might gain the Jews: to those under law, as under law, not being myself under law, in order that I might gain those under law:
21 to those without law, as without law, (not as without law to God, but as legitimately subject to Christ,) in order that I might gain [those] without law.
22 I became to the weak, [as] weak, in order that I might gain the weak. To all I have become all things, in order that at all events I might save some.
23 And I do all things for the sake of the glad tidings, that I may be fellow-partaker with them.

I think it would be quite wrong to engage in the activity to attract those in that industry, but that doesn't see like what is going on.
I have a friend who was rescued out of a biker gang by Christ, he now holds a yearly bike blessing. Many of those who he used to ride with now have found Christ.
We often forget that we are to be for the Flock of God ... we often think it is our flock.
They're absoltely following the example of Christ by bringing the truth to the lost...
I go to their home church (Sandals Church in Riverside). Sadly enough, the heaviest opposition they face is from other Christians and other churches. One church leader referred to them as "sluts" and "Christian whores".
Please pray for the girls and for Sandals Church as we support them in the face of opposition...
Thanks Tony. Please let them know we will be praying for their efforts. It's a bit shocking at first but I'm not in any way against what they are doing.
I know this post is a few years old, but I have to say that as of today the concern (my concern) is not her outreach, but what she believes. Jesus is the only way. They don't give out tracts or anything they just give people "stuff" and invite them to church. What if that person never sets foot in a church and something happens to them? They passed up an awesome opportunity to minister the gospel to someone. It's like they have the opportunity, but they are so afraid that they might turn someone off. It's not up to them, it's the work of the holy spirit.
