Lipscomb professor Lee Camp said “The most basic Christian commitment … is that we say we believe in the Lordship of Jesus. But, if we claim that, how can a Muslim or Jew trust us, if we say Jesus is the Lord of all Lords.” No word if he plans to get rid of the idea of God altogether so we can live in peace with atheists.

Hm. I guess it never occurred to Mr. Lipscomb that Chirst IS Lord! So according to him, we must quit being Christian in order to get along with others. In other words, gain the world but lose our souls. I wonder if he had similar views on things Muslims must give up.
As I've said for years, it is better to be right than to be liked.
I’d just like to point out that Dr. Camp was severely misquoted in this article. I recommend you read his book, “Mere Discipleship” to find out what he really believes. I thought it was ludicrous when I heard that Lee Camp had denied the Lordship of Jesus Christ; of the Christians I know today, he seems to be one who has embraced that concept to its fullest. Sorry, I meant Mr. Camp, not Mr. Lipscomb. HA!
You should acknowledge on your blog that the newspaper misrepresented Mr. Camp's views.
If the paper retracts what it published it will be posted. If not I have no way of know if Mr. Camp was misrepresented.
Earlier I was accused of misrepresenting Rick Warren. He denied praising Syria. Then the tape of him saying what he claimed he never said surfaced.
I posted the story. It is up to the paper to stand by it or retract it.
That quote doesn't make me think that he was denying Christ's Lordship, but it does make it sound like he is considering hiding that fact for the sake of getting along.
