In a development on this story, State Representative Metcalfe has asked that the vote for party leadership be delayed until the election has been certified on Dec.1st. Considering that one uncertified race for a house seat is about 18 votes apart, control of the house could still go either way.
In addition, there are a lot of new members, and they have not had much time to get a feel for the leadership candidates.
House Speaker Perzel, responding through the press today, has stated that the vote will occur tomorrow (Tuesday, 11-14) as scheduled. Other representatives have joined with Rep. Metcalfe tonight in requesting a delay. My feel is that leadership wants this vote ASAP, before media attention and momentum builds against the incumbent leadership candidates, including Perzel himself.
It will be very interesting to see how this plays out over the next 24 hours.
