Terri's Watch : UPDATE

HER TUBE HAS BEEN REMOVED

Execution for no crime has just been approved in America. Scott Peterson gets 3 meals a day, room & board, health care, cable tv, etc. In the end he will get a cotton swab and a needle assuming he is ever executed. Terri gets to STARVE to death while all of us stand by and watch. This is a sick twisted nation where freedom and protection no longer exsist. We are all on life support and spritually starving right along with Terri.

The presiding judge in the case of Terri Schiavo ruled Friday that the feeding tube keeping the brain-damaged woman alive must be removed despite efforts by congressional Republicans to block the move by seeking her appearance at hearings.
Pinellas Circuit Judge George Greer refused a request from U.S. House attorneys to delay the removal, which he had previously ordered to take place at 1 p.m. EST. Greer determined that it should go forward about an hour after another judge issued a temporary delay blocking the tube's removal.

Pinellas Circuit Court Chief Judge David Demers had earlier ordered that the feeding tube remain in place past the 1 p.m. deadline while Greer dealt with conflicting legal issues

The House Committee on Government Reform plans to issue a subpoena that will stop the removal of the feeding tube. The White House issued a statement from President Bush in which he said: “It should be our goal as a nation to build a culture of life, where all Americans are valued, welcomed, and protected - and that culture of life must extend to individuals with disabilities.” This morning, ABC News highlighted a story sympathetic to Michael Schiavo.

Today is the deadline for Terri. There is so much happening with this case it is hard to keep up. We will keep you informed of all developments right here on PowerBlog!

The Senate Health Committee has requested that Terri Schiavo and her husband, Michael, appear at an official committee hearing on March 28. Earlier Friday, a House committee was issuing congressional subpoenas to stop doctors from disconnecting the tube.
U.S. marshals were planning to serve subpoenas at Terri Schiavo's hospice on Friday.

Terri Schiavo's father, Bob Schindler, went into the Woodside Hospice in Pinellas Park at about 9:30 a.m. to visit his daughter. Outside, about three dozen people prayed and wept.

At the White House, President Bush left little doubt where he stands, saying, "those who live at the mercy of others deserve our special care and concern." His brother, Gov. Jeb Bush, long has supported the parents' efforts and urged lawmakers to act before it was too late.

terri shivo doesn’t deserve to die! if she was in a coma, I could understand how letting her go home would be the best decision, but she's STILL ALIVE!!!!!!!!! she, no one deserves to die because they starved!!! this is SOOO inhumane. if only I could go to flordia and give her husband a piece of my mind. at least Rick Santourm is fighting to save her. You're kidding, right?

Terri Shiavo cannot speak, she cannot feed herself, she cannot urinate on her own, she cannot lift her arm, she cannot grasp anything in her hands, she cannot walk, she cannot move. She cannot do anything other than lay in a bed. She cannot interact, she can't move her head.

Look at the picture of the vibrant woman she was. Do you think she would want to actually LIVE 20 or 30 more years in the state that she's in?

Do you honestly think a person would want to live like this? Would you? Would you want a loved one to be locked in such a prison?

Would you want the government deciding what is best for YOU?

Her husband moved on because he knew that she would never be anything more than in a vegatative state. Is this wrong? He's continued to fight for what he knows she would want. You do not know what she ever said to him ... in the privacy of their own marriage ... nor do her parents. If he didn't love her and if he didn't want for her what SHE wanted for herself, he would have divorced her and let her parents keep her alive as a body without a brain for the rest of her life because they are too selfish to let her go.

You also may want to READ this article if you can face the truth ... instead of running on your own misguided ideals:

The Time Has Come to Let Terri Schiavo Die:

Ever since the New Jersey Supreme Court allowed a respirator to be removed from Karen Ann Quinlan and the U.S. Supreme Court declared that feeding tubes are medical treatments just like respirators, heart-lung machines, dialysis and antibiotics, it has been crystal clear in U.S. law and medical ethics that those who cannot speak can have their feeding tubes stopped. The authority to make that decision has fallen to those closest to the person who cannot make their own views known. First come husbands or wives, then adult children, then parents and other relatives.

Remember the recent debate about gay marriage and the sanctity of the bond between husband and wife? Nearly all of those now trying to push their views forward about what should be done with Terri Schiavo told us that marriage is a sacred trust between a man and a woman. Well, if that is what marriage means then it is very clear who should be making the medical decisions for Terri — her husband.

If Terri Schiavo didnt want to live like this, then respect her wishes, neverless theres no proof of her wishes..
To let her die like this is cruel, yet Scott Peterson will die peacefully with an IV? thats fucked up!
