A nationally known motivational speaker from suburban Pittsburgh was arrested in Arkansas on charges of possessing child pornography.
Police in Fayetteville, Ark., said they found child pornography on a laptop computer belonging to Michael V. Fortino, president and founder of The Center for Lifestyle Management.
The pornography was discovered when Fortino, 45, of Bellevue, took his laptop to a store there for repairs, Fayetteville police said.
Fortino was facing three charges of viewing and possessing sexually explicit material involving a child, police said.
Fortino was arrested last Wednesday and the Washington County Jail in Fayetteville said he was released Friday on $5,000 bond.

FWIW, the "mansion," while a very nice house, is more like 5000 sq. feet, not 9,000. Also, Observatory Hill is in no way "exclusive" -- it's a mixed-income, mixed-race, middle to lower-middle class neighborhood -- I live nearby and I'm glad this guy is gone.

Michael's appeal was DENIED. The words "disingenuous" and "fraud" where used. lol
I hear that Fortino was granted an appeal, scheduled to be heard in late November.
Well Michael....The Fox Chapel High School Class of 1978's 30-year reunion will be held this November, and you won't be there to try and impress everyone! How nice that will be!!! We will be sure to give a toast in your honor, that you recieved everything you so richley deserved for your life long, disgusting behavior.
Someone had asked about Mike's early years, and what could have made him the monster that he is today. He grew up in Dorseyville, Pa in Indiana Township (not Fox Chapel). It, by no means, was a poor area, but considered a middle class area, that just so happens to be in the Fox Chapel School District.
He had kind parents and was not abused. He has three sisters; two older and one younger. He was simply born a "Bad Seed". No one mistreated him, or abused him, he simply was and is, EVIL! Anytime he was kind, believe me, it was to try and set a trap for whatever he had in store for you. He was and is a snake. Take it from someone who has known him for a VERY long time. It is very true, that someone committed suicide by how cruel he treated them and that he even took advantage of that situation too. His younger sister always adored him; I have wondered if she still feels this way, and if perhaps, she didn't write the false letters on his behalf! This would not suprise me in the least. As far as cousins and other family members go, the Fortino's and his mother's side of the family (I will not mention her maiden name to protect her side of the family) all live in the proximity where he grew up on Eisle Road in Dorseyville, and none of his family members think very highly of him either...........! Anyone that feels sorry for him, obviously, does not know him,nor do they have children..........I pray for all of the naive bloggers that have spoken out in his behalf! You have not been bitten by the demon snake Michael, like so many others have....keep extending your hand to him, AND YOU WILL BE BITTEN! Just something to think about. Fortino, I see that your wife has not divorced you or sold the house. Soldier on my man, I pray that one day you will rest there again. I was in Federal prison with Mike at FCI Elkton. I hate to disappoint all the people that revel in other's suffering but it's not a violent institution. On the other hand, he does not have a private room or a TV as was stated above - everyone has the same simple 2 man cubicle with bunk beds, a locker and a small desk. He had a low level job in the library when I left.
Any sane person would be upset and sick about what he did to those children but remember that redemption and renovation can occur. I am not saying that he will change but it is possible. In the midst of great tribulation (loss of freedom, family & wealth) God has an opportunity to touch a man's heart.

The person who posted as the nurse above is not telling the truth. I was there with Mike when he arrived. Nothing violent like the nurse described ever happened to him or anyone at FCI Elkton.
