Yeah, the Party has always embraced religious faith... as long as you don't let it interfere with how you live your life. And as long as you don't let it interfere with the Party's plans. Now, I'm not saying that the Republican party is a perfect fit for people of faith either. Other than voting in primaries, I think maybe remaining independent of political parties is best. But I can in no way ever forsee myself becoming a Democrat unless the party disintegrates and reconstitutes under the leadership of some people with sanity.
