I got paddled when I was a child if I disobeyed my parents, I grew up okay, I wasn't abused or badly beaten or mistreated in anyway.
Bring back the paddle!
I'd sue your parents if I were you. You have supressed years of anger and hurt. It's ok, let it out and call a lawyer.
