Black Pa. House members walk out of session

Sixteen members of the General Assembly's Black Caucus walked off the House floor today, before a vote on a new open records bill was taken, to protest the Legislature's lack of action this year on gun control bills and other anti-violence measures.

Just after Rep. Tim Mahoney, D-Uniontown, finished explaining an amendment he wanted to make on Senate Bill 1, the open records bill, the Black Caucus members walked, one by one, to a microphone and said they would be on leave for the rest of the day.
