Down and Out

Thanks to Jim Powers there was at least one new post today. I'm not feeling so hot so my usual blog level is suffering as well.

Just a few thoughts and then I'm going back to the infirmary. Looking at the stats for the most popular PowerBlog posts: How to Kill Your Wife takes the number 3 spot, OBAMA HOMOSEXUAL CONTROVERSY GROWS comes in at number 2 and the number one most popular post is Spitzer's Girl

It seems the more twisted the story the more popular it is.

Also, are you aware that Allegheny County has given 452 acres of land near Settler's Cabin Park (along with the mineral rights) away? The land donated by the county was appraised at $2.04 million. Cranberry-based Mashuda Corp. was awarded a $7 million contract to reclaim 72 acres of abandoned mines at the site. They will remove remaining coal, pump or cap wells and fix mine acid drainage problems. Any profit from the mining will go to the Horticultural Society of Western Pennsylvania and be used to fund and outdoor botanical garden. The garden, which will include a visitors' center, meeting rooms and cafe, is estimated to cost $32 million.

That's all for now.....
