(FRC) As the evidence against Planned Parenthood continues to mount [see below], so too does the reluctance of state lawmakers to fund the organization. For the first time in 10 years, the Virginia Senate voted [Thursday] to strip all funding for Planned Parenthood because it performs and promotes abortion.
Too bad we can’t do the same in Pennsylvania. In 2007, State Representative Daryl Metcalfe came within 8 votes of cutting the funding to Planned Parenthood in the PA House of Representatives.
Governor Rendell took notice. In this year’s state budget, the funding for Planned Parenthood is “buried” somewhere under other funding, it is no longer a line item in the budget.
Come on governor, be intellectually honest and show the funding!
