The Family Research Council reports that the U.S. Senate eliminated federal funds to detect and treat HIV/AIDS in newborn babies from the 2007 budget. Even an attempt to add an amendment to restore the funding for this program failed.
How did this happen, especially when the Democrats are running the Senate? It appears to be a move based more on a political payback from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid than compassion “for the children”. Read more…
