PA Attorney General Reviews Bonuses

(Patriot News) Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett said the 326 percent increase in bonuses paid to state House Democratic staffers in 2006 is being reviewed by his office, saying it's enough to "raise your eyebrow." Corbett refused to say if a formal investigation has been launched. But he made clear that some of the payments, including bonuses worth tens of thousands of dollars to some employees, at least appear questionable.

Corbett said his office is focusing on whether the more than $3.6 million that Republican and Democratic legislative leaders paid staff in the last two years was an illegal payback for campaign or other non-state work.

I would respectfully suggest that Attorney General Corbett needs to aggressively investigate the 5-figure bonuses awarded to BOTH Republican and Democratic staffers now!
