Have you noticed that every sentence that includes the word "Steelers" or "Super Bowl" ends in "BABY"? At least in Pittsburgh it does.
I got on an elevator and the guy next to me had the Steeler jacket on. Just the wearing of black and gold brought this response from a total stranger "Go Steelers, SUPER BOWL BABY!". It was really a moment.
I was talking to a guy out in LA and he just does not get it. He said "Any city where they put cole slaw and french fries and eggs ON sandwiches all at once has some explaining to do." It's a Burg' thang, Yinz are not supposed to understand it. I have a long list of LA things I don't get either!
I knew sooner or later I'd have to post something on the Super Bowl BABY! (See what I mean) So here we go.... I talked to my old buddy Thor Tolo. He is doing a radio show for our company in of all places SEATTLE! Here is what I found.
85 percent of Seattle residents were unaware that they even HAD a football team until this week. Those uniforms look ridiculous and there are more Seattle coffee fans then Seahawk fans. For the record, Thor would not either confirm nor deny my findings.
Around here, suddenly everyone is a football expert. They would sell their own child for a ticket to the game. But a month ago it was "Terri Bradshaw, yeah I dated her in high school" or "What inning is it and which team are we?"
Yet come Sunday all are welcome, novice and expert. We will gather to cheer, eat and watch million dollar commercials with Fabio, Leonard Nimoy, and P. Diddy. I don't expect many visits to PowerBlog! this Sunday. We will all be cheering the STEELERS IN THE SUPER BOWL BABY!

I will admit I am one of the 5 in the city that does not follow Football. My friend from Findly OH, is now on my case a lot now becaues I don't care about the game, I slept though the last game, when she found out she told me I was bad.
I rather watch Hockey, to bad our team stinks this year, but still GO PENS. I am going to tomorrows game.
